The fiber optic splice 3M ™ fibrlok ™ II 2529 provides a precision, simple and low cost method of fiber optic splicing. The splice design uses an articulated metal splice element that is held within a molded plastic body and cap to provide a fast, permanent, low loss splice; the fibrlok has an insertion loss of <0.2db with a minimum tensile load of 4.4n (1.0lb-F) and splice reflection no greater than -40db
Applications:
Fast Ethernet, LAN and WAN data communication
High Speed company servers
Multiplexer, switches and routers
Optical and ATM access network equipment
Optical transport and telecommunications, FTTH, fttd, FTTx
Switching equipment
Features:
Fast and easy to use
Inexpensive
Splices can be reopened and fibres repositioned if required
Minimal tooling required (other than for fibre preparation)
Independent of fibre type being spliced
